"Your are
what you eat" is an old cliché but none the
less true. Each and every day the choices we make about
what we eat, and when we eat, can dramatically affect how
we feel and live. Our body's respond to food based upon
their needs. When we eat the wrong things at the wrong time,
this makes our body do crazy things.
Let's look
at the different times we eat. When we eat too late in the
day we give out body mixed signals, we tell it "here
is food, process it" and then go to bed and say "sleep".
When we eat late and go to bed our body shuts down and says,
"Extra food, must store it for leaner times" so
your body stores most of what eat as fat and doesn't burn
very much of it. Now even worse is if we eat late and it's
the wrong food, say sugar or high fat, then body can change
these type of food to fat quickly, and that is just what
it does. Your body is just like you, it does what is easiest
to maintain it's self. Before you go to bed, try eating
within two hours of before you go to sleep. If you need
to eat, eat a small amount, just enough to stop the cravings.
Zero calorie foods or almost zero calorie foods are better
before bed snacks.
Try to eat smaller
meals and more often, make trade off if you can, example;
I ate fast food for lunch, have a healthy low fat dinner
and take a walk. Learn what food helps other food to be
burned and not just stored as fat. Try and eat more natural
food s than processed foods, yes I know quick and easy meals
and food are our way of life today, but, processed foods
and additives are killing us. Make extra meals on weekends
and freeze them, just pop them into the microwave and bam
a hot , homemade meal that is good for you.
Just as eating the wrong things at the wrong time is bad,
so it not eating. Not eating for whatever reason it s a
very bad idea. When you don't eat on regular bases, the
body slows down, shuts down and conserves energy. The body
thinks its starving and tries to survive, you burn far less
calories. Then when you eat again the body stores as much
as it can as fat because it doesn't know when it will have
food again.
Food is the
fuel of your body, if you put in bad fuel your body you
will feel and perform poorly. When you put in good long
running fuel your body, notorious food that will give you
long term health, then you will be able to live a better
longer life.
